Swamp Gas checking-in.
Here's...Hi Heather...

Swamp Gas checking-in.

Here's a tip for the carrots. Mix radish and carrot seed together for spring planting. When you pick your early radishes you will automatically be providing better spacing for the carrots.

Just about this time of year you might consider mulching your carrots with a thick layer of straw.

After a frost or two they'll taste even better as they'll translocate more of their sugars to the root.

Mulching will prevent the ground from freezing solid and you can pick them into the dead of winter.

Gardening is always hit or miss. If it was easy - everyone could do it.

I wished I'd have discovered your blog earlier this season. You and I need to share ideas.Swamp Gashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235009987101355629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3254130405407981772.post-64713212128787321502009-10-24T12:31:20.222-05:002009-10-24T12:31:20.222-05:00Thank you! I have been a gardner for many years but have found your experiments with different crops and methods very enlightening. Thanks for sharing. I would have never grown Okra had it not been for you!!!
